This is why I only watch the weather section of the news, even though most of the time it's not really accurate. It really is unfortunate that almost every form of media today has a bad reputation, and sadly that won't change for a long time. Throughout history the human species has always been attracted to drama since the creation of yellow journalism, and even to this day we are still witnessing its effects, because the people behind the news know that citizens won't follow it if it featured actual information. Unless we change our attitude as a species, things will stay like that for a long time as the reputation of media gets worse and worse.
