We're all addicted to it. We secretly thrive off this stuff. It makes us self-validate whilst inhibiting our own personal growth by saying, "Well, I may have my skeletons, but at least they aren't THIS bad." And the cycle continues turning us into creatures that live off of others' misfortunes so that we may never have to finally face our own harsh realities, the shadow within us all that is capable of doing the same thing as the people we put ourselves above when we engage in our fantasies of moral superiority. We are all beings capable of the most evil deeds, and our continuous unacknowledgement of this truth will eventually lead us all down a path we would never see ourselves taking. I am done with this delusion.

It's a really big problem. Can we justify lesser evil? Does it even exists? Costs and causes, etc. At the same time, we can not treat all wrongdoings equally, there must be degrees of punishment

Every moment we leave the darkness within us unacknowledged, it only grows stronger; for evil does its best work in the shadows of ignorance.
