I was surprised by others rejecting me, when I was always rejecting my self.
And I can only get genuine friends by being the genuine me.
(Something somebody told me in a group philosophy discussion that stuck with me):
"I am no longer concerned about wearing a mask outside, but instead I concern myself with helping others take theirs off."

That very idea itself is illusory; for if one never puts their thinking outside of the box, they shall never see the bigger picture. The kind of perspective that makes one see the whole world in a single stone, thus gifting them an even stronger sense of focus that they never would've received had they not gone out-of-focus.

I was at one point in my lowest with life, talking rock-bottom. I had suicidal ideations, plans, the whole thing. But for some reason, despite feeling absolutely no passion or pleasure for life, I knew it was not my time to go. I pressed on in my misery, and through great perserverance, found the light at the end of the cave.
There is always a way out of your darkness that doesn't involve taking your beautiful, unique self from this world, and once you get out of that darkness, you will be grateful for that darkness; for through experience, you were now given a torch to help others through their darkness. I have always wanted to do nothing but help others in the long run, and what better way to know how to help than to go through the experience of the one needing help?
There is a true self buried deep within you, that can never be destroyed, only hidden away, and as long as you can envision that version of yourself, it will always be possible to become it, no matter what. That true self is the key to unlocking one's unlimited potential, the key to a door that was wide open; where all people needed to realize is that that they were always welcome in.
Sometimes, all it takes is a spark to light a fire. I believe in you!
